About Us
Instituted in 1905, Kirkhill Bowling Club has been part of the community for over a century, promoting the sport of green bowls while provisioning social activities for members and guests. Since the first opening day in 1906, the club continues to attract local residents to the sport and while the club may be over 100 years old, the various committees over the years have ensured that the club and its amenities have kept pace with the current times.
Opening Day 1906
The club is situated between Grenville Drive and Stewarton Drive, Cambuslang and offers two greens to our members during our playing season, which begins on the third Saturday in April and ends on the first Saturday in October. The clubhouse contains a main function hall, bar/lounge, committee room, kitchen and members changing rooms. We pride ourselves on having one of the best bowling clubs in the district and the beautiful location in which it is set. Members and their guests are always assured of a warm welcome where they can relax in a safe and comfortable environment. Although bowling is our main priority, we have an active social calendar and activities include Cabaret Evenings, Dinner Dances, Burns Night, Sportsman's Dinner, Ladies Charity Evenings and BBQ days (weather permitting). Members may also use the facilities for Birthday Parties, Wedding Anniversaries, Christenings and other special events.
